Physical
Therapy:
Physical Therapy focuses on the prevention and/or treatment
of physical problems such as weakness, poor coordination and impaired balance,
pain and movement dysfunction through physical modalities, hands-on techniques, exercise
and education.
Occupational
Therapy:
Occupational therapists work with individuals to help
regain their independence in order to allow them to live productive, satisfying
lives while completing normal activities of daily living.
Speech
Therapy:
Speech/Language pathologists provide both evaluation and treatment
to individuals with hearing impairments, language, voice, articulation,
dysarthria,
apraxia
and fluency disorders. They are also trained to address swallowing disorders,
work with laryngectomy patients and facilitate augmentative communication.
