Osteoporosis
Treatment, Prevention and Screening Program:
As an adjunct to medical
management, this program can successfully educate patients with
Osteoporosis. After performing a complete
musculoskeletal evaluation, the therapist provides the patient
with an individualized program of postural and corrective
exercises, education, pain management treatment and techniques,
and self-care strategies. Whether you are forty and without
symptoms, or you are already suffering the pain and deformity of
osteoporosis, we understand your needs and concerns. Together
with your physician we can help treat, manage, and prevent this
silent disease. We also offer an educational slide presentation
for members of the general public interested in learning
strategies to prevent osteoporosis and maximize bone density.

Breast
Surgery Management
Women who undergo
breast surgery may experience neck and shoulder
pain, numbness, tingling, swelling, or scar tissue
restriction at any time following surgery.
Occupational therapy treatment can effectively
improve shoulder range of motion and strength,
reduce
lymphedema, eliminate pain
and tingling as well as mobilize scar tissue.
Specific treatments to eliminate symptoms are
enhanced by education in preventative exercise and
self-care. Before beginning therapy, your physician
should determine that you are ready for treatment
and refer you to us. We provide a warm and caring
environment and will work with you to achieve normal
function and eliminate symptoms.

who may have mild back pain, but are interested in
preventing it from getting worse. Fortunately,
there are many ways to treat, and better yet, to
prevent back pain during pregnancy.

Pelvic pain
in women is not uncommon. Between 16% and 25% of
women currently have pelvic pain, or have had pelvic
pain in the past. Many types of pelvic pain
syndromes exist and are characterized by a variety
of signs and symptoms. These signs and symptoms can
be related to specific pathology or disease. It
is absolutely essential that women with pelvic pain
be thoroughly examined by their physician. A
licensed therapist specially trained in the
evaluation and treatment of pelvic pain will provide
a customized program to address your individual
